fixar.me is the Texas contractor verifier. We index every active Texas HVAC and roofing contractor from state and federal public records, then let anyone check entity status, license validity, county registration, and safety history in 30 seconds — with citations to the original source on every claim.

What we have and what we don't

We're honest about scope. From public records we can give you everything in the "Verification summary" on each profile — entity status, taxpayer #, sales tax permit, county, formation date, organization type, safety history, and (for HVAC) the responsible TDLR-licensed person where we can match it.

We do not have, and will not fake: per-company revenue, employee counts, real-time customer reviews, or executive names beyond what is in public filings. Those fields require either a paid data provider (D&B, ZoomInfo) or the business itself filling them in via the claim flow.

Are you the business owner?

Open your profile and click "Claim this profile." We verify you against public records on file (TDLR responsible person, SOS registered agent, email-domain match) and unlock editing — services, hours, photos, insurance, certifications. Free.

How we source data

Our pipeline pulls from: TX Comptroller (sales tax permit holders & franchise taxpayers, via Socrata API), TX TDLR (HVAC license search), OSHA Severe Injury Reports (federal public domain), and BLS QCEW (industry context). We respect every source's terms of service. Where a record is technically blocked from scraping (e.g. BBB profile pages, Yelp), we link out instead of forcing the data in.

Citation policy

Every significant fact on a contractor profile carries a source chip. Click it to view the original record. If we can't cite it, we don't publish it.

Corrections

If something on a profile is wrong, please submit a correction. We verify each correction against the underlying source within 5 business days. Owners can claim a profile to be notified of changes.

fixar.me publishes information aggregated from public sources. We are not affiliated with any of the agencies cited. Information may be incomplete or out of date — confirm any decision-relevant fact directly with the source. We honor takedown requests for non-public personal information accidentally surfaced through corporate filings.
